Missing our mascots this time of year…

Jordan Myers, Reporter

On September 24th, 2020, Sahuaro’s Student Council presented the student body with our first virtual assembly! The assembly, which was in the works for a while, was finally up and running for the entire school to stream. The video contained introductory segments of all of the members of StuCo as well as our principals and even some of our teachers.

Ms. Trujillo, Sponsor of Student Council praised their amazing work, “Student Council put a lot of hard work into this first virtual assembly and we were very happy with how it turned out. We hope to find new ways to get more students involved for second quarter!”

Clips from past pep rallies and spirit weeks had us all reminiscing about the fun times we spent together when we were allowed to be under the same roof…oh the old days…

Many teachers and heads of the learning departments joined in on the assembly fun, like Sahuaro English teacher and avid reader of The Paper Cut, Ms. Watters who was featured in the video advising students to be healthy, stay hydrated, and to read a good book.

Thank you StuCo! We hope that one day we can all party under the same roof together, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
