The beauty and complexity of writing are of great value. From a young age, I have always been one to use my voice whether it be projecting it physically, or writing the things that go through my mind on paper. Writing has changed my life for the better and I encourage you to try it out.

For me personally, there are a lot of benefits to writing. The first being it is the best way to clear my mind. I am a person that has a constantly busy lifestyle and it leads to my mental thoughts becoming foggy. Writing has turned into my escape from all of those foggy thoughts. At the end of a long day, I will go sit down, grab my journal, my favorite pen, and I will write whatever feels right. When I pour out my emotions on paper, it feels like a weight is being lifted off of my shoulders. If there is a day when you feel so stuck and don’t know what next step to take, I encourage you to try journaling and let out what feels right.

Another benefit of writing is you can let your creative juices flow. Not all writing has to be journaling or full of so much emotion, it can be fun and exciting as well. It is always nice to not be so serious and write a creative story every once in a while. If I have enough free time I will sit down and write a fun little short story. Creative writing is a fantastic hobby to incorporate into your life. Whenever you are in a good mood and you are feeling creative, take 30 minutes out of your day to sit down and try writing a short story.

Not only does writing help with emotions and creativity, but it will also contribute to you becoming more intelligent. For me personally, I have broadened my vocabulary and my grammar accuracy within the 2 years that I have taken writing seriously. For example, I will look back at my old articles on this website and compare my old writing to now and see extensive growth with my words. The more you write, the more you will grow.

Writing has changed my life for the better. It has gotten me through tough times and has taught me a lot. If you have free time, I encourage you to try articulating thoughts on paper, it will change your life for the better.
