Q: What would you say is your favorite thing about high school?

A: I think my absolute favorite part about high school is everything and everyone being so much more laid back than in middle school. The teachers are really chill and genuinely care about you and your grades.

Q: What is your least favorite thing about high school?

A: I’d have to say my least favorite thing about high school is the bathroom situation…it’s kind of hard to find the opportunity to go to the bathroom and I know these legs ain’t fast enough to use the bathroom during passing period, but it’s alright because I always find a way.

Gabi likes road signs as you can see

Q: What are your plans after high school?

A: My plans after high school are to take a gap year before college and then attend college and study psychology so I can be a psychologist/ psychiatrist. However, I’m not sure which college I want to attend yet. I want to help people and feel good about what I do.

Q: What was the most drastic change from middle school to high school?

A: The most drastic change has to be the teachers’ amount of keeping you in check. In middle school, I felt like they put a lot of stress on me to get my work done and all of that but in high school, it’s so much less stress from the teachers.

Q: What middle school did you attend?

A: I attended The Academy of Tucson from kindergarten to 7th grade, but then I switched to Tucson Country Day School for 8th grade and I’m honestly glad I did. The experience prepared me for meeting a whole bunch of new people.

Q: If you could do so, how would you change the world?

A: If I could change the world, I think I would try to make it safer for everyone. Or at least do something to reduce the number of women, children, and men being raped. I think it’s important because this is becoming such a huge issue due to human trafficking, even of men.

Q: Do you play an instrument? If so, for how long?

A: Yes, I first learned how to play the ukelele in December 2018 and of course I’m still learning. I’m also currently learning the guitar in class and I also enjoy singing.

Q: If you were ever to get arrested, what would it be for?

A: If I was ever arrested, I wouldn’t know what it would be for, I try my best to stay on the good side of the law. But if I actually did something, it would probably be really dumb that I did on accident and never realized.

Q: What’s your favorite kind of music? What about artist(s)?

A: My favorite kind of music is either indie or alternative music. I just really like how it makes me feel and it overall puts me in a way better mood or gives me something to cry to when I feel like crying. My very favorite artist duo is Twenty One Pilots. I would go far enough to say that their music saved my life when I would slip into a really dark place. That’s what I like about music…when you can’t find anything else to put your trust in or count in, it’s always there for you, ready to make you feel any way that you need or want to feel.

Q: What’s your biggest fear?

A: My biggest fear is probably doing something that would ruin my life or future or something that would cause me to lose the people who matter the most to me. I find comfort in having someone in my corner to support me so having no one at all really scares me.

Q: What’s your best personality trait?

A: Hmm my favorite personality trait. It’s probably how laid back I am. I’d like to also think of myself as a super nice person and I hope other people think so too. I just really don’t like making people feel bad about themselves.

Q: How’s Sahuaro treating you so far?

A: Really good. I like high school overall better than middle school but who knows how I’ll feel in the future when I get more homework dumped on me…

Q: What’s your main goal for freshman year?

A: My main freshman year goal is to pass with all A’s. But I also really want to release more music by the end of this year and learn guitar a little better. I hope I end the year on a good note overall and stay fairly happy throughout it.
